Artist Statement

I have dabbled in many different mediums, but when I discovered encaustic paint while visiting a working gallery, I was immediately drawn to the medium’s unique depth and texture. I loved watching the paint move and flow when heated. This encounter ignited my passion for encaustic art and led me to fully immerse myself in the process.  

My work combines a love for travel, nature, and photography with the expressive qualities of encaustic paint. I find inspiration in the natural world, particularly outdoor explorations with my husband and dog. These experiences bring a sense of peace and joy, which I try to express in my paintings. 

My approach continues to evolve as I explore new techniques in my work. With each piece I invite the viewer into a world of warmth, texture, and visual depth, capturing the beauty and tranquility of the world through the lens of encaustic art.
