Distant Mountains
My daughter lives in Sweden with her husband and son, and I am grateful for the chance to visit them each year. During one of my summer visits, I captured a photograph that became the inspiration for this painting. While much of the year in her part of Sweden is cold and snowy, the summers transform the landscape into a vibrant tapestry of color and life — a fleeting beauty that I wanted to capture and share through my work.
13.5” x 13.5” framed - encaustic paint, oil stick
