I love all trees, but I have a special affinity to the bare, leafless trees of winter. I found these trees in the beginning of winter as I was hiking in Connecticut. The grass was beginning to turn brown, but no snow had fallen yet. The sun was setting, my favorite time of day for the colors it creates in the sky. I hope I can share the feeling of calm and serenity I had at that moment with my others.
