There are so many beautiful spots in Connecticut to view nature. This painting is inspired by a lake close to home. I used papers dyed with alcohol in to depict the sky and water and covered that with glazes of encaustic paint. I wanted to create an atmosphere that was somewhat ethereal. The result gives me the feeling I had when I was there.
