When I saw these wildflowers, their beauty was enhanced because they were sitting in front of this crumbling while wall. I was drawn to the contrast between the two, each beautiful in its own way. Using encaustic paint allows me to accentuate the vibrant colors of the flowers, and show the crumbling texture of the wall, bringing the scene to life.
