Visiting my daughter in northern Sweden in January can be challenging. It takes time to get used to short, cold days; and long cold nights. But once I get past that, I settle in and enjoy the beauty that abounds in this part of Sweden. This painting was inspired by a photograph I took at 3:30 in the afternoon. The sun was setting over a stand of evergreen trees. The color combination was stunning, and I share that with you here.
